About Byron Bay

Byron Bay is a beautiful little coastal town found on the North East Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
 
Over the past decade Byron Bay has quickly become one of Australia’s premier backpacking spots with over 1.7 million visitors passing through it every year. Byron Bay is a small town of 15,000 people with a huge reputation. All kinds of people flock to the coast of Byron Bay for many different reasons.
 
Surfers come to test their skills on some epic waves & Byron Bay is known for producing some of the sickest surfers in all of the world, with a few competing in the World Championship Tour Series.
 
Adventurers and explorers come to dive the beautiful waters of Byron Bay in hopes of catching a glance at a passing shark or sea turtle, marvel at a playful dolphin or cruise behind a gliding manta ray. Many test their nerve and skill at skydiving and hang gliding high above the breathtaking scenery of the Eastern Coastlands.

 
Backpackers and tourists flock to Byron Bay to take in some of Australia’s most beautiful scenery.  Byron is a rare place where the rainforest meets up with the pounding waves of the ocean, the perfect spot to kick back with a nice latte and watch the waves roll in.
 
Those who are deep into the New Age or more alternative hippie lifestyle also tend to flock around the town of Byron Bay. Originally the town used to be just another typical little coastal place. But in 1973 there was a huge gathering called “The Aquarius Music Festival”, and Byron Bay has never been the same. Youth and hippies from all over Australia came in droves fell in love with the area and have never left.
 
Many have come and will come through the town of Byron Bay. The International world is here at our finger tips!
 
Our hearts desire is to bring the reality and the power of the gospel into this famous little town called Byron Bay.
